This hull was built at Mona Vale, Sydney and intended for ocean cruising. The hull is massively constructed, the planking for instance, being 1 3/4 inch spotted gum. The present owner, Dr. E J C  Molesworth, completed the building and rigging of Boongown with professional help. This is her first ocean race and is certain to be handled expertly by the skipper, W Burke, Commodore of the Middle Harbour Yacht Club, who has had considerable ocean racing and cruising experience.
