With just an ounce of luck Ailsa would have stolen last year's Hobart race. As the yachts approached Storm Bay she was in an excellent position to gain handicap honours but missed out when she was left in very light years in the Bay. She is a fast little vessel for her low rating, of shallow draft and is driven by her crew who thrive on ocean racing and cruising. She has recently completed a successful cruise to Lord Howe Island and return, excellent training for this race.
