Archina is a large ketch that has recently been completely re-rigged and re-furnished for this season's ocean racing events. Well known to Sydney-ites, she has sailed in numerous Sydney Hobart Races and in 1958 took third place on handicap. The present owner, John Howie is a fairly recent newcomer to the ranks of yachtsmen and will be trying hard in the big event. Archina is a big sail carrier and might well be up with the contenders for line honours.
