In the hands of the Halvorsen brothers, Anitra has built a remarkable record in this race with a win and three seconds in four starts, and many yachtsmen feel she is the best creation of these famous brothers. Now in the hands of popular yachtsmen Jim Sampson, she is carrying on the tradition, of having won two first prizes this year in ocean events against much improved fleets. Unquestionably, she has a fine prospects and winning again and with a crack crew including Graham Newland, twice winner of the Hobart race in Siandra, she is considered one of the favourites.
