Ron Swanson, owner of Silhouette, has built many of our finest yachts, including Siandra, and it is sort of poetic justice to see him listed among the entries in his own vessel. Silhouette was designed by Alan Moore and was launched in 1959 since when she has competed mostly in harbour events, with some success. She appeals as a boat that would do best in light conditions and is certainly well crewed, though by comparison with yachts of her size she does not rate well
