A Blythe Spirit classs yacht, Sylphide was brand-new when she competed in the Sydney Hobart Race in 1963, finishing about the middle of the fleet. In the interim she has raced regularly, though only occasionally offshore. These are husky little ocean racers that can give a good account of themselves.
