Profile
Boomerang Vii will be sailed in this year's race by John DeVere who has her on charter from her owner Peter Hill. Boomerang VII is a Peter Joubert design and is noted for her speed in hard running conditions. She caused a sensation in her first Hobart race in 1968 by finishing 2nd overall . . . even more credible as she was completed only days before the start. Boomerang VII was built by Fibreglass Yachts of fibreglass foam sandwich construction.
