Profile
The former Admirals Cup star Balandra is making a welcome reappearance in the race after a break of some four years. Beautifully built by Jock Muir in Hobart and designed by Englishman Peter Nicholson, she was a member of our first winning Admiral's Cup team in 1967. Launched just in time for the 1965 Hobart, she finished a close 4th, a place she repeated tghree years later, her best Hobart efforts. Favoured by a healthy age allowance, still could surprise in the breeze.
