Formally Garlic Prawn and now in the hands of the experienced Chris 'Gentle Giant' Hatfield, Giant has come out of retirement for this race. A production Yamaha 35, she finished 57th last year in her first Hobart start, but Giant will need to flex more than his muscles to do well in this year's Race. This yacht was 4th overall in the 1979 Lord Howe Island Race, also winning the arbitrary division of that event.
