Condor of Bermuda should be nicknamed 'Phoenix' after her reappearance on the racing scene. She was all but destroyed non a Tahitian reef on her way home from the 1979 Sydney Hobart Race and has been completely rebuilt in New Zealand. Nevertheless she will start favourite for line honours against Vengeance, Helsal II and Apollo.
