Marloo was built in the USA as a contender for the Admiral's Cup. Previously owned by his brother, ex-Commodore George Girdis acquired the yacht two years ago. Since then, she has been a consistent performer in all the CYCA races and was second in Division 1 in last year's Hobart Race.
