The former Admirals Cup star Balandra is making a comeback to the race after a five year absence. Built by Jock Muir and designed by Peter Nicholson, she was a member of our first winning Admirals Cup team in 1967. The best results in the race were 4th in 1965 and 1968. Balandra, being of the old school of boat, should be around if it blows hard. This year she has a young but experienced crew.
