The S&S has a fine tradition of good performances in the Australian ocean racing scene, going back to Ted Heath’s 1969 Sydney to Hobart winner, Morning Cloud, and including John Sanders’ around-the-world boat, Perie Banou. Morning Tide, launched in 1975, is a fine example of consistent good racing by the S&S 34s, whose recent record including winning the prestigious Samuel Pepys Trophy in last year’s Hobart race.
