As Smuggler was outstanding Australian yacht of the 1981 season when she played a vital role in helping the NSW team to victory in the Southern Cross Cup, finishing 14th in Hobart, second team yacht and winning her division. Since then, she has raced as Piccolo and Grumpy Knot 3, with moderate success, before being bought by Ken Quinert who sailed her again to Hobart last year, finishing 71st.
