Profile
40 years after sailing her first Sydney Hobart, owner Bruce Gould is bringing this famous yacht out of retirement for what is also his 25th Hobart race. Also joining the group is Peter Green who skippered Margaret Rintoul in the 1949 race, and sailing his 35th Hobart. Margaret Rintoul missed line honours in a first race by two minutes, after being becalmed 2 miles from the finish, but she went on to get the gun in 1950 and 1951, setting a record that was to stand for six years. She has been carefully maintained and her timber hull is in excellent condition.
