Bacardi has contested nine Sydney Hobart races since 1980, also winning a a Melbourne-Hobart and continues to win races.  So far in 1990 she has won the Channel division of the ORCV winter series and the Sandingham Yacht Club's winter pursuit series.  In the 1990 Petersville Regatta, the veteran sloop won five races and placed 3rd in the series on Channel handicaps.  Bacardi also placed third division of 1989 Brisbane-Gladstone race.
