While most are Hobart virgins, the crew has extensive offshore experience including Sydney Gold Coast, Brisbane Gladstone and Sydney Mooloolaba races. Kickatinalong enters most long ocean races and has placed well in PHS division in the Mooloolaba race (2nd in division in 1998) and the Sydney Noumea race (3rd overall).
