After steering Komatsu Blue Lady in last year’s Hobart, Shan Kearns, former owner of Getaway Sailing, will be returning with a crew largely made up of ex-students to contest the Hobart in a Northshore 38. This will be St Malo’s first Sydney Hobart, and though largely untested, she will enjoy a quick trip south if the breeze allows for some downwind surfing.
