Rod Skellet, a three-time JOG Super 30 Champion, was awarded the inaugural Battery Point Trophy last year for the fastest small boat to reach Hobart, then went on to finish 2nd on IRC in the Sydney Mooloolaba Race.  After completing the 2,225 nautical mile Transpac Race this year, the 628 nautical mile race to Hobart will seem like a short outing.
