Last year John Walker was named the CYCA’s Ocean Racing Veteran of the Year for the second time. He has enjoyed much success this year including winning the Sydney Mooloolaba Race and Gosford - Lord Howe Island Race Overall and has a long list of achievements in the Sydney Hobart Race including a 3rd overall.

Now aged 82 and one of the oldest skippers in the fleet, John has completed all 20 Hobarts on board this yacht.  Crewmember Felicity Nelson last year received her medallion for completing her 10th Hobart Race.
