This time round, Andy Bruce, an Aussie living in London, has pulled together a team of mostly British mates together to charter Obsession as a Tasmanian entry. They have all sailed together for the season back in the UK and have put in a lot of preparation, mostly on a Beneteau 40.7.

They were talked into the Sydney 38 by Getaway Sailing as a faster alternative, and were impressed with the specs on this boat with finishes in the top five overall handicap honours in the last four Sydney Hobart Races.
