Owner Graham Gibson will not be able to sail to Hobart this year, the boat being campaigned by Ross Trembath and other regular crew members.  Ross has been a helmsman and navigator with Gibson for eight years on various boats he has owned, although his first Hobart Race goes back to sailing with Julius Charody in the galeswept 1993 race.  Two of Ross’ sons, Simon, 21, and Martin, 19, are in an experienced crew that includes Rob Curtis, Ritche Venn and Geoff Sherman backing up from last year.
