Last year John Walker was named the CYCA’s Ocean Racing Veteran of the Year for the third time.  He has enjoyed much success recently including winning the 2004 Sydney Mooloolaba Yacht Race and Gosford to Lord Howe Island Race, and has a long list of achievements in the Rolex Sydney Hobart including a 2nd and a 3rd overall.  Now aged 83 and the oldest skipper in the fleet, John has completed all 21 Hobarts on board this yacht.
