Following the 2004 Rolex Sydney Hobart, Alex and crewman Peter Crozier left Hobart for the UK, via the Falkland Islands, to contest the Rolex Fastnet Race before setting sail back to Australia, arriving just days out from the start of the 2005 Boxing Day bluewater classic. In the gruelling 1998 Sydney Hobart, Berrimilla placed 1st in PHS Division and in 2002, finished 3rd Overall on PHS.  Berrimilla hasn’t missed a Rolex Sydney Hobart start since 1994.
