Peter Blake and Kate Mitchell bought the well-performed, former Ichi Ban just before the 2005 Rolex Sydney Hobart Race and they and their crew have steadily got to know this powerful yacht over the past year.  In early November they took line honours and 2nd in IRC overall in the Melbourne to Stanley Race across Bass Strait, a qualifier for this year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart. Blake had great success with his previous boat, Kontrol.
