Secret Mens Business 3 underwent a re-build and hull modification designed to correct upwind performance. The boat was re-launched in Mornington by Hart Marine in late 2009 and is now known as Secret Mens Business 3.5 (SMB3.5).  With a slightly larger sail plan and waterline length, SMB 3.5 placed eighth in IRC Division 1 of last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart and will prove to be very competitive with other 50 footers entered into this race. As SMB 3, the boat broke the record for the fastest boat under 50ft and fastest ever South Australian Yacht to reach Hobart in 2008; and broke the race record for the Adelaide to Port Lincoln in 2009.
