Reve placed PHS 11^th overall and ninth in Division 2 in her maiden Sydney Hobart last year. A PHS win in the 2017 Land Rover Sydney to Gold Coast and the 2017 Land Rover Winter Series (Division C) has brought Kevin and James Whelan back this year on the family’s Reve for the boat’s second race to Hobart. Over the last two years, the boat has transitioned from a life of long distance offshore cruiser to being a competitor in the 628 mile race to Hobart. The boat’s crew are anything from engineers to mortgage brokers, consisting of partners, friends and family with a strong emphasis on compatibility rather than plain ability.
