Profile
Andrew Jones skippered Advantedge to 47th overall last year, adding weight to the strong Tasmanian field with this slippery downwind flyer designed by Jim Inglis. Jones took Line Honours in the 2022 Maria Island Race, which he finished the 2023 race second overall (decided in PHS) and fourth under IRC.
Cracked sheets and downwind conditions are required for the best result from this Inglis 47. Two father and son combinations are aboard again: Andrew and Josh Jones along with Michael and Nick Smart. This Inglis, owned then by South Australian Bob Egerton, has a strong history in the race, having competed in the 50th anniversary race in 1994.
