Representing the Netherlands, Aragon, a Marten 72 from designers Reichel/Pugh, won the 2016 RORC Transatlantic Race, wining IRC Division Zero and won Division 1 of the 2020 Middle Sea Race crossing the line in second place, in their first appearance at the Maltese event. The yacht finished 31st overall in the 2025 Transpac Race.
Two families are involved in Aragon, which is based in the Netherlands. The yacht arrived in Newcastle, north of Sydney in early November, as the crew prepare for the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. She recently got refitted with a longer keel, heavier bulb and new standing rigging, as well as a range of new sails.
