Profile
Tasmanian Craig Coulsen has purchased the former Not A Diamond from Queensland. The Beneteau First 40 has done two Sydney Hobarts, the 70th in 2014 and the 2015 race. Coulsen has grown up with boats and sailing, thanks to his father, also a sailor.
This year, Coulsen entered the day entries closed, which he also did before the 2002 race when he entered Trump Card and in pouring rain and 500 metre visibility, was holed in the stern shortly after the start. Coulsen has plenty of offshore miles under his belt, in races such as the Brisbane to Gladstone and other Tasmanian races. He has been cruising for the last 10 years and is looking forward to doing the Hobart as the start of a three-year racing plan for Coastwatcher.
