Profile
Scott Mutton bought this Beneteau First 45 and renamed her Cool C4ts. She will mostly be crewed by South Australians who have sailed together in inshore and offshore races for many years on Mutton’s previous yacht, 3 Cool Cats. With Cool C4ts, Mutton contested the 2025 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast race, GCCM Gold Coast Mackay race and Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island Race Weeks in preparation for the 80th Sydney Hobart.
The yacht was last known as Z7 and contested the 2022 Hobart after competing as Highly Sprung in 2019 and 2021, with a best result of eighth in the latter race. The boat started life as Lady Courrier in 2008 for French owner Gery Trentesaux, then Paul Clitheroe bought her and renamed her Balance for the 2009 and 2011 Hobarts. She was chartered in 2012 and named Peugeot Surfrider, before becoming Balance again 2013.
