Profile
Sailing his Jeanneau Sun Fast 3300, Hip-Nautic, fully crewed last year Jean-Pierre Ravanat managed 21st overall. In 2023, he and Drew Meincke sailed double handed and placed 43rd overall and sixth in Double Handed after retiring on the first night the previous year because of mainsail damage.
Ravanat returns to sail double handed again, this time with Dylan Gore, who was on his crew last year. Hip-Nautic was launched by Ravanat in late 2020. She is one of the many Sun Fast designs in the race, tailor made by Jeanneau for short-handed sailing, making them a popular choice. Ravanat is a seasoned sailor from Tasmania.
