Jaffa is now owned by Victorian, Stuart Mellington, who previously co-owned the Iain Murray Custom 37, Dark and Stormy, which he sailed to 58^th overall in the 2018 Rolex Sydney Hobart and 92^nd in 2019.

This Runnalls 39 has changed hands since her three previous Sydney Hobarts. West Australian, Terry Posma, last sailed Jaffa to 42^nd in ORCi in 2019 after retiring with engine problems in 2015. Her first Hobart was 2014 with a 39^th overall. She competed in most major offshore races on the west coast and was specifically designed for those conditions.

Jaffa is a great offshore racing boat given conditions suited to the smaller yachts – maybe this is the year – 2014 was the last time a smaller yacht, Wild Oats at 43 feet, won the Rolex Sydney Hobart for Roger Hickman and crew.
