Minerva is a Ker 40 that was originally christened Icebreaker in New Zealand and sports an updated Ker keel with a 3 metre draft. In the lead-up to the 2025 Rolex Sydney Hobart, Edward Cox is contesting the CYCA’s Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore and took the boat to fourth in Division 1 of the Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race.
This Minerva replaced the Cox family’s DK43, also named Minerva, which regularly competed in Rolex Sydney Hobarts and other races from 2010 until her last in 2021, with a best result of 16th in 2013.
