Mondo is a competitive Sydney 38 that keeps getting better over time, both offshore and in one-design competition. Mondo is skippered by Lisa Callaghan, who sailed her to 25th overall in the 2023 Rolex Sydney Hobart, an impressive result in just her second attempt at the race, so was disappointed to be among the many retirements of last year’s Hobart.

Since purchasing Mondo in 2018 with two partners, Callaghan has led the team in numerous Sydney 38 Championship events up and down Australia’s east coast, steadily climbing the leaderboard. In the lead-up to the Hobart, Mondo placed 29^th overall and ninth in Division 2 of the 2025 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast race. Originally launched as Easy Tiger, Mondo gained her new name in 2009.
