Profile

West Australian Rob Appleyard made a good decision buying Moneypenny from Sean Langman last year. Before, the yachtsman raced his Fast 40, Secret Weapon with success. He also competes in both Formula Ford and Formula 1000 Championships.

Langman’s best results with Moneypenny, the boat he bought from the US in 2018 as a 65 footer, was third both overall and in Division 0 in the 2023 Rolex Sydney Hobart, and in 2022, eighth overall to win Division 0. He lengthened the RP design from 65 to 69ft in 2019 and won the 2022 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Race, sponsored by his company, going on to win the Audi Centre Sydney BWPS.
