Profile
David Gotze skippered No Limit to seventh overall last year, a great result for him with this RP63. A regular in the race, Gotze has contested with the yacht since 2019, the year he bought it and placed seventh overall and second in Division 2. Gotze, an engineer, continually upgrades No Limit in efforts to win the race he has sailed in 13 times as the owner of various yachts.
A carefully considered crew, including new addition, Peter Merrington, should hold Gotze in good stead. Launched as Limit by Alan Brierty three weeks before the 2008 Hobart, she finished seventh, but retired from the 2009 race, then placed 14th in 2010. She was then sold and renamed Aszhou and Voodoo.
As Voodoo, it finished third in the 2018 Hobart and won Division 1, Hugh Ellis having bought the boat out of the US.
