Rising Sun joined the Army fleet in 2025, replacing the trusty Gun Runner. Its Rolex Sydney Hobart Race entry is part of a unique training program, with around 60 soldiers taking turns across five offshore passages between Sydney and Melbourne. For most, it’s their first taste of life at sea.
