Roaring Forty is a one-off 1997 Lutra BOC Open 40 bought by Kevin Le Poidevin in 2017. He sailed her to 10^th in the Double Handed Division last year. The race was used as a test for the 2025 double handed Melbourne to Osaka race, in which he finished 12^th with crew Darrell Greig.

He also finished third over the line and second overall in the 2007 Rolex Middle Sea Race plus first in the Solo division of the 2008-09 Global Ocean Race. Le Poidevin spent 31 years in the military, which has given him a great many skills needed for short-handed sailing, including efficiency and a vast knowledge of sailing.
