Last year the Rolex Sydney Hobart was a first for Solace and Paul Pincus and they finished 40^th overall after doing the 2024 Brisbane Gladstone Race and finishing 28^th overall - with Pincus’s four siblings and a friend on board. Pincus said at the time, “There are five in my family, four boys and a girl, ranging in age from 57 to 63 years and we have only done the Brisbane to Gladstone race together!”

Just one brother, David, is aboard for the 80^th Sydney Hobart. This Beneteau First 44.7 was built for the American market and spent 10 years in the British Virgin Islands in a sailing school. It was then sailed to Western Australia and raced there for three years as French Kiss V before Pincus spied and bought her.
